I didn´t read this thread completely
Please do, the drives connected to the card appear in the bios but they are not passed through to OMV, according to the output the card is recognised but that's about it.

The vga slot (and I also tried with the 2nd x16 slot)
I cannot plug the card in smaller slots
The vga slot
That's PCI-E1 that's the slot recommended according to the manual, however have you checked the bios in relation to vga settings
I tried searching on the card model - pce4sat-mr1 and didn't find anything.
I would read the info that came with the card, or follow any web link provided. It should tell you what key sequence to use to enter setup.
If the key sequence is Ctrl+M, (marvel cards are usually Ctrl+M) don't wait for something flash on screen. Hold down Ctrl with one finger and start pressing M with another, every second as the box is booting up.
If you get in, RAID0 with 1 drive, might get you what you're looking for, but drives attached this way would be married to that controller. I'd experiment a bit (format a drive in OMV, re-format, etc.) before putting data on drives attached that way.

Here's the thread that references -> Server Grade HBA's.
I got a Dell Perc H200, 8 ports, 6GBS. I had to flash it - references are in the thread on how to do that. Some sellers are selling them, on E-bay, pre-flashed. (I'm not endorsing E-bay. When buying anything used, the mantra "buyer beware" always applies but it worked out for me.)
These cards are full length - they're not going to fit a Mini-ITX PCI-Express X1 slot or in a small case. Check these cards against what your motherboard has for slots.

Whilst I was doing some searching I found a guy on E-bay, Art of Server, even has his own You-Tube channel with some interesting tips on how to troubleshot LSI cards.

lol nothing like this dude, this is aliexpress
I bought this one to see if it is natively recognized or if I get a similar problem
I set up a new machine recently using this card - plugged it in and everything worked straight out of the box.
So it is probably f*cked up
I ordered a 6 sata pci-card on amazon and ... that works like a charm

It makes you wonder if the suppliers for aliexpress test anything at all. Off the assembly line, into a box and out the door.
Schtevo that's fine and you did post that, but the site is Australian and the card is technically unbranded so impossible to search for
Ahh, sorry.

You´re kidding?
