Note: Because I had issued the install script with insufficient privileges while I was in my home directory I had ~/openmediavault-omvextrasorg_latest_all5.deb as a leftover. It is save to just rm this particular DEB package file.

I wrote a kvm plugin for OMV 5.x that is better than virtualbox (in my opinion). There is even an option to convert the virtualbox vdi disk images to kvm format to create the VM in the plugin. The kvm plugin is fully integrated with OMV as opposed to doing everything in phpvirtualbox (which is not really maintained anymore).
Just because it works fine doesn't mean you should stop moving to newer, supported versions.
I hate giving out these instructions because people will just stop upgrading...
For OMV 4.x only
cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d
sudo mv omv-extras-org.list omv-extras-org.bak
echo "deb https://openmediavault-plugin-developers.github.io/packages/debian arrakis main" | sudo tee omv-extras-org.list
cd /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/
sudo wget https://openmediavault-plugin-developers.github.io/packages/debian/omvextras2026.asc
sudo apt-key add omvextras2026.asc
sudo apt-get update
Unless you do a fresh install, that will still require moving to OMV 5.x first.
I have run these commands, but in the web interface in Update Management an openmediavault-omvextrasorg 4.1.16 has appeared. Needs to update that? Thank you!

Are you sure, you are on OMV4? What are you trying to do?

Yes, 4.1.36-1 (Arrakis). I want updates for old extras and eliminate the repository e-mail notification.

There will be no updates.

Greetings from the future!
Dude, three and a half years later, there's at least one person out here trying to upgrade to 4.x. We seek this information because we're trying to upgrade, and we're unable to because of these broken repos. Don't worry about this information preventing upgrades; it does the opposite.
(When/if I can get this 3.x box modernized, I'm next going to have to experience the joy of upgrading my other one from 2.x to 3.x.)

If you are on 2.x, you should install fresh. It isn't just the omv-extras repos that have disappeared. Debian repos have too. I can't give you information for repos that don't exist.
