And one more question: do we need to do anything with this message when run "zpool status"
Zitatstatus: Some supported features are not enabled on the pool. The pool can
still be used, but some features are unavailable.
action: Enable all features using 'zpool upgrade'. Once this is done,
the pool may no longer be accessible by software that does not support
the features. See zpool-features(5) for details.
I am not planning use my pool on other OS
-
But I wondering why it happened and how to avoid such behavior and stress in feature
It happened because zfs package names and dependencies changed. That has always been a risk with using backports. And it is impossible from the plugin side to prevent this because I have no idea what future package names will be called or what dependencies will change. This is why you should test before installing the updates if the system is that critical. If things like this do change, you will have to wait for a plugin change.
-
But I wondering why it happened
The dependencies changed from 0.8.6 to 2.0.3 and that is what need to be updated in the plugin
EDIT: one reason why I keep a bootable backup + an image
-
Disabling backports might be a better option if you are using the proxmox kernel. But spupuz's dpkg commands might still be necessary.
i also had now disabled the backports too.

So, no guarantee that will not happen again, probably switch back to other FS (ext4 or xfs) could be a good option, because they work without any plugins, am I right?

Not critical, it is my NAS at home, but with photos, software and documents which I do not want to loose and starting panic if I see some issue and every time backup everything ASAP

I doubt there will be a big change like this again in the near future.

Test on a VM not the actual system. And none of this should cause a data loss. You might have to re-import your pool but it shouldn't wipe the zfs structures.

Thanks!
And could someone tell me how to do "zpool upgrade'" with no issue? Or just ignore this message?

i did zpool upgrade <poolname> without issue
-
For me it worked like this:
1. Disable backports repo
2.
Codedpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/libnvpair2linux_2.0.3-pve1_amd64.deb dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/libuutil2linux_2.0.3-pve1_amd64.deb dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/libzpool3linux_2.0.3-pve1_amd64.deb dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/libzfs3linux_2.0.3-pve1_amd64.deb
3. Install ZFS plugin

Oh, thank you, I could not do that one week ago, probably due to different dependencies version.

How do you do this and with witch plugin or app?

How do you do this and with witch plugin or app
I use USB flash drives 32GB as my boot media, 1 in use, 2 off, create and write an image using Win32DiskImager, but if you look in the plugins there is a usb backup this effectively backs up your boot device so you can restore.

What exactly will be restored?
For example: is it possible to restore all your OMV with your current settings, plugins, jobs etc.?

With the plugin AFAIK, yes

Do we have instruction? I can see that usbBackupPlugin works as rsync: you have to chose shared folder and target folder on USB, but I do not have access to system file in this dialog. How can I do system backup?
