Install a second network card

Since my Asrock board is equipped with an Atheros network card and does not support WOL, I wanted to ask whether it is possible to install a second network card?

As I am a Linux novice, I would be very happy to receive help. I think that after the installation, drivers still have to be installed.

Is there a guide (step by step is best)?

Which card would you recommend for the current OMV 5?

Hard to go wrong with an Intel NIC. Most popular and good quality cards have their drivers already in the kernel. I would seriously avoid any noname cheap cards altogether.
