So I have a raid 6 array with 6x 8TB WD Reds and I have installed a PCIe 4 way expansion sata card (no idea of the model) and connected anohter 8TB red and have started growing the extra drive into the array.
So it is reshaping which says its gonna take like 30 - 40 hours which to me seems like a lot, but it wouldn't be an issue if I could still use the filesystem while the reshaping was happening.
On Xpenology adding a new drive to the raid didn't stop you from using it although it was limited, enough to use it for watching media and what not, so I thought is there maybe a setting that changes the speed of the reshaping to allow the use of the data, cause atm it might let me into a folder after a long while I can't do anything with the files if I can even get on the NAS at all through the network.
