I would like to setup fail2ban to monitor my nextcloud installation.
I have installed the plugin and believe that the attached configuration is correct. Nextcloud is not listening to any report and I am using Nginx proxy manager to reverse proxy the app to port 80
Can someone verify it please?
You say you have Nginx-Proxy, but how are you running it?
If it's through docker, what you're doing won't work.
The fail2ban plugin on OMV "only" protects the OS Nginx, not the ones running via docker.
On the other hand, SWAG proxy already has a fail2ban protection included.

Just remembered that you have an app on Nextcloud called "Brute Force Settings" that might serve your purposes

Nginx-Proxy is indeed running trough docker, I thought that by having fail2ban looking at the nextvloug.log file for failed attempts, it might block the ip , regardless of being a dockerized program or not.
