Error applying configuration after update : conflicting ID 'append_hosts_eth1_v4'

  • I recently applied updates to OMV 5.6.10-1 using the web UI 'Update Management' options.

After installing, the notification bar across the top of the page informed me configuration had changed & needed applying. Attempting to apply the update yields the following error:

Failed to execute command 'export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin; export LANG=C.UTF-8; omv-salt deploy run --no-color hosts 2>&1' with exit code '1': somehostname.local: Data failed to compile: ---------- Rendering SLS 'base:omv.deploy.hosts.10default' failed: while constructing a mapping in "<unicode string>", line 32, column 1 found conflicting ID 'append_hosts_eth1_v4' in "<unicode string>", line 76, column 1

    (further details below)

It sounds like it's trying to apply a transform to a hosts list, but don't know how to dig deeper to locate what it may be trying to apply and identify the cause of the conflict.

Anyone able to suggest a few places to start looking. There haven't been any other recent configuration changes to this system (e.g. manual tweaks) that I can recall.

    Many thanks.
