omv-extras plugins - porting progress to OMV 6.x (done)

  • Here is the current status of porting omv-extras plugins to OMV 6.x. If the plugin isn't on the list, it won't be ported.

    Whoah ... JellyFin's just gone now? :(

(later edit) this may be a dumb question cause I'm new. But I could have sworn there was a openmediavault-jellyfin plugin at one point, only now I can't find it anymore.

    JellyFin's just gone now?

JellyFin has never been a plugin. Docker is the right road for that.

could have sworn I saw a "openmediavault-jellyfin" plugin that was a one-click install at one poin

plex and emby had a plugin at one time but I've never seen a jellyfin plugin. With a good docker-compose file for jellyfin, it should be just as easy as a plugin.

Is there a LUKS plugin for OMV6 for Raspberry4?

I installed omv6 but cannot find the LUKS Plugin

    Yes. Is omv-extras installed?

I have done a new fresh install and now LUKS is there.

You reinstalled because of this? I'm sure it would've been easy to fix. I would've just clicked on apt clean in omv-extras.

  • Trust me I tried everything. There was no LUKS.

Anyway, I have now upgraded from OMV5 to OMV6 but am struggling to get Docker to run.

    What I did so far:

    1) Installed OMV6 on a fresh SD Card, unlocked all LUKS drives and re-created my MergerFS pool.

    2) changed Docker instal directory in OMV Gui to point to my hd with pre-existing Docker folder (my old Docker installation).

    3) Ran Docker install from OMV GUI

Status now says installed and not running

When I run Docker I always get an error message 500 - internal server error.

Any ideas how to get Docker up on OMV6?

  • ok I think this could be a permissions issue. The Docker folder only allows root to rw but I though OMV has root permissions anyway.

  • I read that OMV6 is still beta. Does anyone actually have Docker running under OMV6?

OMV 6 is no longer in beta and there are many who are running Docker on it, myself included with 14 containers.
