Problem installing OMV-Extra missing libnpth0, dirmngr

    Hey,
    First I'm new in this Forum so sorry if I made some mistakes to the rules or wrong topic etc...


    I'm using OMV5 5.6.14-1 on a Terramaster


    So after some Updates my OMV-Extras get lost and I tried to reinstall it but only got more Erros. I jumped from Error to Error just to a point where I dont know how to solve it because I'm to afraid to forcely install it. Befor I start here is my source.list because in all three Threads I found in this forum, which had some simliar problem it was mentioned. But i guess its the correct one even if it is not written in the documantion ( OMV5 is missing).



    So here is the story:


    I started with classy

    wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVa…ckages/raw/master/install | bash


    leads to


    So it says that dirmngr and gnupg isn't installed. So I tried


    apt-cache policy gnupg gpgv

    and got some



    just to try

    apt-get install dirmngr=2.2.27-2~bpo10+1


    hmmmm okay so i tried to install libnpth0 and got this



    I also was thinking about removing gpgv and reinstalling it but it had so many dependencies that I was afraid of. And now im stucked.

    already tried to update, upgrade but there is nothing to update



    How can i install libnpth0 and why is it missing ? or do I miss some repos? I've tried all the day and Im out of ideas, so I hoped the Forum meight have some.

    Update:

    So I've found a Solution but I'm not feeling well with downgrading so much packages, this meight lead to some other issues in the future if I'm not wrong.


    So first I had to add a repo which includes the missing packages and I added "deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian buster main" to the /etc/apt/source.list .


    so I could fire the following commands downgrading and adding the missing packages and their dependencies.


    after that the install script

    wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/packages/raw/master/install | bash


    worked and now OVM Extra Tab is available.


    I hope someone with the same Problem meight help my monologue here.


    Just one Question is left. Should I remove the "deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian buster main" from source.list again? Or should I also upgrade the other 40 Packages in this repo?

    i had nightmares about my omv installation because of propreatary network driver on my dell T310 not letting me connect to mirrors in installation process. had tryed ''repo generator'' witch got me to some user side trouble by locking me out of my machine.... anyway i also had trouble with those depencies trying your solution at the moment thanks

    no, still not installing dirmngr and gnupg.

    i started with the stable iso, installed it on my usb stick using rufus.
    my installation process was the equivalent of offline install cause dhcp adressing was not working and my main reason that came to head was network driver since it is server hardware...
    after that force connected it to my network by setting it with a direct link to my pc and then plugin it to my network.
    updated it with :

    deb https://packages.openmediavault.org/public usul main

    deb https://downloads.sourceforge.…t/openmediavault/packages usul main

    ## Uncomment the following line to add software from the proposed repository.

    deb https://packages.openmediavault.org/public usul-proposed main

    deb https://downloads.sourceforge.…t/openmediavault/packages usul-proposed main

    deb https://packages.openmediavault.org/public usul partner

    deb https://downloads.sourceforge.…t/openmediavault/packages usul partner

    got all my basic services to work perfectly (ftp/nfs/smb)


    then added :

    deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ buster main contrib non-free

    deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ buster-updates main contrib non-free

    deb http://deb.debian.org/debian-security buster/updates main contrib non-free

    and smashed omv-update praying it to make

    wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVa…ckages/raw/master/install | bash

    finally work witch didnt.....


    EDIT:
    I forced downgrading like pwpwpw mention and got omv-extra to finally work.
