Hi,
I recently installed omv5 in a VM (XEN Server).
On xenserver I configured a pure Data disk to spindown after 50 Seconds of no usage via hdparm.
But the disk is spinned up every Minute again allthough I switched off every statistics a.s.o. which might be responsible for that.
Has anybody experience in running OMV5 in a VM with XEN and spindown of disks?
By the way, I made the passthroug on XenServer 7 via file: /etc/udev/rules.d/59-udev.rules
and I added to its line:
ACTION=="add", RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'mkdir -p /dev/xapi/block/'"
ACTION=="add", RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'ln -s /dev/sdc /dev/xapi/block/'"
So OMV got the disk as a block device in a SR for removable disks.
