I messed up when I created my OMV UnionsFS pool, and I'm trying to fix it.
This is strictly for storage of movies and TV Shows. I currently have (4) 2TB drives, labeled Media. I have two folders under that, Movies and TV Shows.
Each folder has an individual folder for each movie or TV Show. Currently, each sub folder is scattered across the four drives, because I used the "Existing path, Most free space" policy. So the main video file of Movie1 is one Drive1, then the metadata is scattered across the other 3 drives, then the main video of Movie2 is on Drive2, and metadata scattered across the other three drives, and so on. Makes a mess, when I am wanting to backup each drive, and make sure I have everything. These folders obviously are not changed much, if ever.
i have set up 5 more 2tb drives, and I'm needing to copy the files in such a way that Movie1 is fully complete on one drive, Movie2 is fully complete on another drive, etc.
I made a backup of everything, copying them from the server on 2tb drives using Windows. I'm using a USB3 2-port docking station with the drive plugged into it. Copying was at ~100MBps average from the server. Trying to copy those back, however, I'm getting about 16MBps, which will be atrociously long to get everything back onto the new drives. So, I come here to ask for help. I'd like to copy from one pool to the other, without it going across the network. How do I copy from the existing UnionFS pool to the new pool, and keep the files in the folders together?
