I just installed a VPN via portainer
I'm not sure, but I would say that using a VPN with surfshark requires an installation on the host. I doubt it will work in a container.
Looking at the surfsark documentation the only possible installation I see of the client is on the host.

Actually, there are a few docker containers that allow you to run most/all of these vpn providers in a container.
For example, this one is very popular:
https://github.com/haugene/docker-transmission-openvpn
And this one I like a lot:
https://github.com/qdm12/gluetun
Many of them have preconfigured options for many providers, but also allow you to manually setup your provider via a custom config, if yours is not one they have a config for.
Of course, it's also very easy to install and of these VPN providers directly on the host via CLI (If they support OpenVPN or Wireguard). But yeah, installation via docker is totally possible--just a little more tricky to setup and get working right.
@K91fr Maybe I can help, because I went through setting this up a couple weeks ago (after much trial an error)---it's not exactly straight--forward or intuitive....because a lot of documentation is very lacking. That's why I like the gluten container---great documentation---and great guy if you have any questions--he is super responsive to Github issues.

Thanks to all of you, I will test this

If you're using surfshark as a container.. you need to bash into the container and check the IP of the container to verify it is working. Then you route your containers through the surfshark container...
Do that on your surfshark container, and it should return a different IP address...
Example: For privacy I lopped off the last two sets of numbers, but as you can see, when I ran it on the host I got one IP address (line 7), then when I bashed into my transmission-openvpn container, I got another IP from my VPN (line 15).
This shows the VPN is clearly working.
Code
Alles anzeigenken@openmediavault:~$ host myip.opendns.com resolver1.opendns.com Using domain server: Name: resolver1.opendns.com Address: 208.67.222.222#53 Aliases: myip.opendns.com has address 73.146. ken@openmediavault:~$ docker exec -it transmission-openvpn bash root@28888255fe2a:/# host myip.opendns.com resolver1.opendns.com Using domain server: Name: resolver1.opendns.com Address: 208.67.222.222#53 Aliases: myip.opendns.com has address 102.129. root@28888255fe2a:/#

Well, before doing anything, verify whether surfshark is working or not by doing what I put in the previous post.

I followed your advice and it seems to work thanks to you

Hello guys,
I need your help. I have installed transmission (haugene/transmission-openvpn) by sharing in OMV a folder named: transmission accessible via SMB/CIFS. I did change the absolute path in the transmission docker to the shared drive but when I download a torrent via transmission it is not visible in the transmission folder.
Sincerely

revise user/group of this shared drive folder

Nobody to help me?

You have to make sure that the user you use in docker/transmission has write permissions on the folder you want Transmission to write.
