File systems are missing after updating from OMV5 to OMV6

  • Dear all,

I encountered a strange problem: When I updated my Nas from OMV5 to OMV6, I found that all the file systems were missing. I found a similiar problem on:

No drive visible in Filesystem [OMV6]

However, I pressed the + button, and tried to create new file systems. But no device can be found in combobox.

I checked /etc/fstab, and it's OK. All the file systems are right mounted well as before. Samba and docker works well. It seams that only the symbols were missing on OMV web, but the file systems work well in fact.

What's more, I installed openmediavault-unionfilesystems plugin on OMV5, but this plugin may be not supported by OMV6. It would be instead by openmediavault-mergerfs. But the new plugin hasn't been released. Is it the old plugin cause this problem?

    Thanks all of you!

The old plugin might be causing this. Since I haven't finished the new one, I haven't tested upgrades. I wouldn't have upgraded if you are using a plugin that hasn't been released yet.

And for others wondering, *once* the new mergerfs plugin is released, it will have the replaces field populated so that apt knows to install openmediavault-mergerfs over openmediavault-unionfilesystems and openmediavault-mergerfsfolders.

Thank you! I look forward to having your new plugin.
