Hello,
I just build-up the CPU using Intel CPU on Asus Motherboard Z-590-A. Boot USB to install however, OMV is unable to detect the Ethernet card.
Appreciate anyone's help to what driver that I could use?
Thanks

If you have tried to install from OMV5-ISO you could try OMV6-ISO.
Or you try an alternative installation method which installs Debian first and then OMV on top.

If you install Debian 10 you will end up with OMV5.
With Debian 11 you get OMV6.

Hi,
Alright, will try the OMV6-ISO and hopefully it's stable enough to use.
I also like to try on the alternative installation method for my learning experience. By the way for OMV5-ISO installation, how could I know if it's running Debian 10 or other version? I managed to install OMV5-ISO from USB with a external VENTION USB C HUB comes with a network port, however I would prefer to use the built-in NIC
Hopefully the OMV6 or Debian 10 or 11 can detect my unlisted network adapter card (2.5Gbps) on this Asus Z590-A mob.

As I said above if you use OMV-firstaid it would fix your network adapter I did it I have also a z590

If you got OMV5 installed w/ that other adapter...
Update your system fully.
install OMV-extras
Use OMV-extras to install the backport kernel
Shut down, plug your cable into the onboard NIC
Boot up and log in as root
run the command: omv-firstaid
Choose option to reconfigure your network device (#2 I think)
Use DHCP and then you'll get a new IP most likely.
Use command ip to get your new IP address.

OMV5 only works on debian 10. OMV6 only works on debian 11.

I recently had the same problem installing OMV on a new GIGABYTE Z590 motherboard (Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8125 2.5GbE Controller (rev 05)). Turned out Debian 11 (Bullseye) is required to support the ethernet adapter, so I loaded OMV 6, and it's working like a champ.
Hi everyone,
Just managed to install OMV 6.0.3 latest today and it works like a charm and would like to thank everyone for your valuable guidance.
