What is the status of docker in the GUI of OMV under omv-extras?
Are you using portainer?
-
Hi Macom, I was hoping you'd chime in. always enjoy your instruction. by status do you mean is docker online? yes it's working and using portainer.
-
-
-
And a sreenshot from Portainer >> Containers that show the "container list"

-
-
What happens if you select mariadb and press "start"?
-
-
Looks like the permission have changed. I don't think it is related to flashmemory plugin.
Are you using stacks to deploy the containers?
In any case you should check if the user you specified by PUID and PGID has permissions for the config folders.
-
-
-
Should I reset permissions for all folder to root?
-
how do I check what user I specified?

how do I check what user I specified?
Edit the stack and look at the user's uid. Then go to the OMV GUI, section "Access permissions", "User", and in any of the columns look in the title for the button to open more columns. Open the UID column. Look for the user that corresponds to the UID you have on the stack.
-
the stack uid is 998, but under user its 1000. how do i change it to 998?
-
You shouldn't use 998. That id corresponds to admin, or root, I'm not sure. Don't use any id below 1000.

Hat das Label OMV 5.x hinzugefügt. -
You should create a user to use in docker. Take a look at this guide.
-
Okay, thank you, its 1000. do i edit all stack and containers to uid 1000?
-
You can use user 1000 as long as user 1000 has permissions to write to the volumes defined in the containers.
-
-
I can edit uid and redeploy the container right?
-
Yes
Read the guide, please.
