So, a while back, while testing some dockers I had to install apache2 server. But now it's giving me headaches. While starting OMV it gives that error on my first screenshot. Well, not a big deal. But every now and then my webui wont boot, it loads that screen from my other screenshot. I have to do bunch of stuff to make it work again. I guess nginx and apache2 are using the same port. It's ok at the moment, but if I don't need it, I would like to get rid of apache2. How to remove it, and clean everything left behind it?
Can I remove Apache2 server?
-
- OMV 5.x
- Nabukodonosor
-
-
apt purge apache2
apt autoremove
-
Is it safe to remove it? Do OMV needs it for something essential?
-
No, OMV uses nginx. As you mentioned, you installed Apache, so why should OMV need it?
BTW I doubt you had to install Apache because of a docker. If a container needs Apache it would be installed inside the container.

OMV never needed Apache. If it did it would be a core package.

Actually the first few versions of OMV used apache. We convinced Volker to use nginx.
