Does anyone know if this will affect us?
- I run omv-update today and no updates found. Furthermore,
- i run apt-get update from CLI but still no updates found.
Is there anything else to be done besides the above two steps?

Well, you've provided a wealth of info about your system...
What version of OMV are you using.
Maybe dpkg -l | grep polkit will show the versions (although I don't see it in the VM i'm running)
Don't think that it's installed on a Lite system.

Version: 5.6.24-1
Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-0.bpo.9-amd64

That's what I was thinking (and Google seems to suggest such), but I wasn't 100% sure. I'm pretty sure it's only there w/ GUI desktops.. which means he's not running a proper install anyway and is gonna be disappointed when he updates.

Do you run the Pi with a Desktop version?
Scratch my last comment:
All my Pis received the updates so, all goes well in the world
To calm people's fears on this:
Note: I got to patch thousands of systems yesterday because of this.
