OMV Login form background optimization...

  • Hello everyone! ^^ I don't know if there is already a section dedicated to this type of problem, in case forgive me (I'm new :saint:). I noticed that after some time you leave the management system open on the browser you are brought back to the login screen, the problem is that the animated image that has been set as a background of the form by the developers is heavy enough to slow down a latest generation MacBook Air. Wouldn't it be better to try and give it an optimized? :D

This topic has been brought up many times. The animation only completes 5 cycles. You can also set the web interface to not timeout and logout.

slow down a latest generation MacBook Air.

It doesn't slow down my 11 year old Dell. It only uses one cpu when it is active. How is that slowing down a new MacBook?

Except if you leave the webui on the graph section for 10-15mins and then it forces you to re-login regardless of what you set the timeout to be.

Doesn't seem to happen if you leave the dashboard open.

Ok, that would be a bug. Did you file a github issue? Either way, the login animation only runs for five cycles.

Probably because Safari has big problems. Without a doubt, Macbooks air with i7 processors are famous for overheating very easily. I don't have any such problem on any other linux or windows system, I was curious to know if it was a problem of my mac or had been reported by someone else. Thank you for your reply and your time.
