I am using OMV since version 5 and I like it a lot. I upgraded to OMV 6 since the first RC and it works great. Now I wanted to try out higher MTU values to see if they have an effect on performance. If I try to change the MTU in the Web UI, the Web UI gets inaccessible and my nfs and smb shares stop working. If I reboot the NAS, everything works again, but it asks me enable the changes for them to take effect after opening the web ui again. If I try to apply the changes, everything gets unaccessible again.
After that, I tried to change the MTU with ifconfig. Now only the web ui gets inaccessible, but the shares still worked.
The MTU value itself does not seem to matter if it is different from 1500. The behaviour is always the same. If I set the MTU to 1500 with ifconfig, everything works again.
The network card is an ASUS XG-C100F. My OMV Version is 6.0.28-3.
Has anyone an idea what went wrong? Is there something I can look into to find the issue?
