I got stuck at the end of the upgrade from openmediavault 5 to 6.
I usually update from the GUI, but for this (just to make sure), I connected with putty using SSH and logged in as root.
I ran the omv-upgrade command and that went through several packages and reported that it was already upgraded.
I had heard that nut was now included in the core, so I didn't uninstall that. All the other packages that I could find were already converted.
So, I started the omv-release-upgrade. Things were going well.
There were several warnings from dpkg that directories were not empty, but it continued to install.
I saw errors around the nfs update and restart, but I never had nfs configured in version 5, so I didn't think that was a problem.
Looks like it failed to restart connectd.
My putty logsize wasn't large enough to capture the entire upgrade, but I've attached what I captured. 5-6-upate-2022-08-07-zip
I ran a dpkg --audit and this is what it reported.
root@omv:~# dpkg --audit
The following packages have been unpacked but not yet configured.
They must be configured using dpkg --configure or the configure
menu option in dselect for them to work:
openmediavault openmediavault - The open network attached storage soluti
openmediavault-flashmemory folder2ram plugin for openmediavault
openmediavault-nut openmediavault Network UPS Tools (NUT) plugin
openmediavault-omvextrasorg OMV-Extras.org Package Repositories for OpenMediaV
openmediavault-resetperms Reset Permissions
openmediavault-snapraid snapraid plugin for OpenMediaVault.
The following packages are only half configured, probably due to problems
configuring them the first time. The configuration should be retried using
dpkg --configure <package> or the configure menu option in dselect:
collectd statistics collection and monitoring daemon
root@omv:~#
I'm going to reboot, just to restart everything, but I'm not sure if I should rerun the omv-release-upgrade or not.
