No bootable drive found

  • Hi

So I installed OMV successfully on my NVME and started using it without problems.

Then I decided to add an HDD to the system and after that, when I try to start the computer it says no "BootDevice not found"

I selected the correct NVME where the OMV was installed and it still doesn't work. Even after unplugging the HDD.

I'm starting to think that the HDD has nothing to do with the problem.

I live booted Linux from a USB and I can see that the OMV files are all there in the NVME. I tried to install OMV in a USB and boot from it but it also says no bootable drive found. Maybe the version of OMV I downloaded is corrupted? I tried both legacy and UEFI on the NVME with no success.

    Does anyone know a fix?

  • I do not know a fix, I just can state, that after i updated to OMV6 sometimes while rebooting, I get the same error.
What I do then is just shutting it down completely, wait 1 min or so, and then restart it. And then it miraculously works.
