Some files open, some don't. In Windows they all open.

  • I have PDF files in a folder that all have the same rights and information

-rwxrwx--- 1 username usergroup length date time filename

Only filename, length and date-time change. The user and group are the same.

From a Windows 10 PC, some of these open and others give the access denied error.

In other folders the same situation occurs. Some files open, others have access denied.

In Windows, in the file properties, the "Security" tab is only for files that can be opened. This tab indicates the users and groups associated in Linux with that file. Those that cannot be opened do not have a security tab.

But if I take the folder and copy it to the Windows desktop, including all the files contained, not only can I open them but they also have the Security tab (with win user).

    I can't figure out what's blocking it

Thanks in advance for your help.
