OMV6 + Proxmox kernel + ZFS - update error

  • Before apt-get purge --autoremove zfs-dkms

  • After apt-get purge --autoremove zfs-dkms

    Should I reattach zpool?

    Code
    zpool attach -f vol1 ata-WDC_WD10EFRX-68FYTN0_WD-WCC4J2PN68D5 ata-WDC_WD10EFRX-68FYTN0_WD-WCC4J7PZ029L

    Should I reattach zpool?

    I would import from the plugin.

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs

  • Hi guys, Happy New Year!

    Finally found time for another approach.

    After apt-get purge --autoremove zfs-dkms

    I imported zpoll in plugin with error:

    After that i applied configuration changes but they keeping back over and over, even after reboot.

    Everything seems to working fine, except these configuration changes.

    ################################################################################

    EDIT

    After few applays "Pending configuration changes", it seems they are coming back every time i come back to "Storage->zfs->Pools"

    None of those changes have to do with zfs.

    What is the output of:

    sudo omv-salt deploy run rsync systemd usbbackup

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    I know, but before importing zfs poll in plugin, there was no "Pending configuration changes"

    I don't see any errors. I would:

    echo "[]" | sudo tee /var/lib/openmediavault/dirtymodules.json

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

  • This file is empty now.

    root@omvserver:~# cat /var/lib/openmediavault/dirtymodules.json

    []

    But every time i come back to "Storage->zfs->Pools" tab in GUI

    root@omvserver:~# cat /var/lib/openmediavault/dirtymodules.json

    [

    "rsync",

    "sharedfolders",

    "systemd",

    "usbbackup"

    ]root@omvserver:~#

    It should only be marking those modules dirty if it finds a pool to import. When you go to the Pools tab, it runs the import command. I'm not sure what it is finding on your system that it has to import every time.

    There is only one zpool:

    But as you can see in #25 there was an error when i tried to import zpool in plugin at first time.

    Have you edited the OMV database? What is the output of: sudo omv-showkey mntent

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    No I didn't.

    It looks like your vol1 pool is being added over and over. I would delete all of the vol1 (not subvolumes) zfs mntent entries from the database and then go to the plugin.

    There was duplicate entries of "vol1" and "vol1/backup" in config.xml

    So i just left only the second entry of "volume/backup" and delete rest.

    After restart and another "Pending configuration changes" in ZFS plugin.

    Everything seems to works fine!

    Thx ryecoaaron
