from mergefs to raid5

  • Deat all,

I have a system with OMV and nextcloud in a docker container. Two disks are mounted and merged with mergefs. The problem, is that I will remove the current two disk to four 4 TB disks, which act as RAID5 system, die problem is that on the old disk the Nextcloud container stored. Is there an opinion to move all data to the new raid5 system?

    Which version?

    nextcloud in a docker container

Which image? From where did you follow the instructions to install it?

What STACK/YML did you use? Post it here inside a codebox (HIDE SENSIBLE DATA== email/passwords)

There's a lot of ways to do it but without information, noone can help you.

    Where's your docker root?

What's the full path to where the DATA and CONFIG is?

Will you have the complete DRIVES at the same time or you'll disconnect the merged one's and then plug the RAID5?

And, why RAID??? Do you know the caveats of RAID?

You would have to wipe the disks to move to raid 5. Why not add one of the new disks to the mergerfs pool and then setup snapraid for redundancy.
