Docker backups

Good morning,

I am coming in order to assess using OMV for a new home server that I have. I am mostly comfortable with Dockers and backing up config locations. I have created this system to house my more sensitive dockers that I want to be able to backup multiple different ways. I need to make sure I can backup items like vault warden where the data not only resides in a config but uses a database also.

any help is 100% appericated. if OMV is overkill i'm open to any suggestions.

Do you run vault warden and have you had to restore using the rsnapshot?

well came to a screeching halt cause of the I225-V NIC, need to see if i can find my usb adapters.

Using a network adapter I got the rsnapshot to backup everything using the code below to stop and start the dockers. Now I just would love to be able to auto update more often then once a day. I know it can do hourly also. Is there an option to handle backups more often in case of a password change and then some catastrophe happens? I have not tested a restore yet.

docker stop $(docker ps -a -q) and docker start $(docker ps -a -q)

Now to work on getting my internal nic to work so i don't have to have this stupid usb one.

How do I restore?

Yeah Just tested the restore and the rsnapshot does not seem to back up the database.

So i figured out what i did wrong and i'm a idiot... I did not set the data folder to the proper place. and as such it never grabbed the files when i did a sync
