OMV migration from installed OS to proxmox OMV VM

Hello,

For some reasons I'll want to migrate from OMV OS supporting several docker container for home automation etc (HA and all dependencies, Paperless NGX,Nextcloud...)

My first question is : Will I be able to transfer my OMV system to the VM ? (with a back up ?) How can I do ?

And second one is : if yes I think that my data disks (2x 4To mirorred EXT4) will be automatically found , but if no , is a new virtualized install of OMV will retrieve my data when declaring the physical storage disks to the VM ?

Most people refer to proxmox for easy use and large support also on open source. And I've noticed that sometimes I couldn't (or didn't manage to) install some apps in docker but directly on omv debian...it already caused me some trouble and I would like to prevent this. So as I certainly re install a clean OMV system, I'm taking advices to maybe directly go through proxmox to rebuild my nas and home automation server properly and almost efficiently and easier maybe to upgrade/fix or maintain

With your explaination, iIn fact my problem (it's not really one in fact) is to choose between OMV6 OS hosting VM and docker with KVM plug in or PROXMOX OS hosting VM or container for OMV6 Docker and others....
