I set a macvtap to my VM running homeassistant. My VM is on my network and the web page is accessible. The VM is also able to connect to the internet. The only thing the VM can't do is access AgentDVR which runs in a docker container on the VM's host machine (my OMV NAS). Is there anyway to give the VM access to things hosted by the host machine?

Yes. You need a bridge on the host. Look at this link.
