Best file system on raid 5 in OMV6

Hi to everibody,

as wrote in the post's title, after read many post about this doubt, I decide to open a new post just to receive suggestion about my OMV6 config.

Here below my hardware in detail:

- mainboard AsRock J4125B

- 8Gbyte of DDR4

- sas/sata controller LSI SAS 9207-8i

- storage devices n° 6 Samsung Evo 870 (4Tbyte each) + 1 Samsung Evo 870 (500gb for OS)

- UPS Eaton Ellipse Eco 650 USB Din

I decided this hardware just to create a very stable and quickly NAS using Raid 5 array (20Terabyte in my case).

My big doubt was born after reading many post (also not only on this forum) about Raid 5 with different file systems.
I understood that BTRFS (created with mdadm) is not stable and maybe could be a solution using EXT4 or XFS. The best file system should be ZFS but also using the plugin (because it isn't directly supported by OMV6) I need, (to avoid other problems) DDR ECC mode but I need to change my mainboard and also memory modules. Furthermore, with ZFS, could be problems using containers....

Assuming I need to build the most stable NAS (using my actual hardware), what are your suggestions about the best file systems for my Raid5?

Ok Chente, but how can I manage my mainboard with DDR not ECC? I know I can use ZFS also with not ECC DDR but is it safe?
