Set static IP address -> Web interface unreachable

    • Official Post

    -bash: omv-extras: command not found

is there a particular folder it could be? I have not discarded any files

Are you running the entire script as I said, or did you just type omv-extras? Below has to be ran as root.. or sudo if you're using a sudo user. This command downloads the script and runs it.

    Code
    sudo wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/packages/raw/master/install | bash

  • you must set like this:

    IP 192.168.0.*

    Subnet 255.255.255.0

    Gateway 192.168.0.1

    but not:

    IP 10.0.0.2

    Subnet 255.255.255.0

    Gateway 193.168.0.1

  • Sorry for reviving this old thread, but I finally found the solution after burying the project for 2 years. :)

To get it working, I had to add an IP rule in my routers' admin panel. The router (Vodafone) has a DHCP page where all connected devices are listed. After creating a new reserved rule adding my device MAC address and desired static IP, it worked like a charm. I also chose an IP address inside the routers address range. (193.168.0.xxx) The router actually only allowed addresses inside that range.
