I have been looking at them for many many years. Has anyone got one? is it good? some of the displays let the stations down.
Anyone use a weather station at home?

no, I just look at the data that the weather stations from my neighbors submit to https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap

not an expert in any way but picked up in and outdoor Netatmo stations at prime day this year. Those are more focused around air quality and temperature but i believe they also have wind and rain ones. Might be that they are bit more premium brand and i haven't really looked into how open they are to integration but I have been happy with it and would invest into it any time again even though i was quite skeptical pre buy.
This is a screenshot from my dashboard and i think you could check if people around you have them via Netatmo Weathermap
Then again more or less just bought and installed without looking deeper into it till now so best to do your own research. Wouldn't know if you could run them full offline

Yea I had one of them some years ago. It was okay at the time. Im after a outdoor one like this but im after one where there is no account needed to join/use. Netatmo talks to there servers way to much for me to get it. Cheers for the post tho I do see they have updated the map from the last time I used them.

I’ve used Davis weather station for some time. Kind of simple one with radio (433) transmission to central panel - temp, humidity, wind, rain. Together with RFLink I was going to connect all sensors to Domoticz on Raspberry 3+
This project never succeeded (snow storm ruined Davi’s central transmitter) so now I’m using a bunch of cheap 433 temp+humidity sensors - neither wind nor rain readings were correct anyway since I’m surrounded by high trees - no much needs for 25m mast to keep sensors on top for good measurements
