Hello!
I would like to copy a hard disk without having the computer on all the time.
Is there a way that Openmediavault does the copying without me being logged in and how would this work?
Sincerely R.Lehmeier

I would like to copy a hard disk without having the computer on all the time.

Am I understanding it correctly? Do you want the disk to work with the computer turned off?
I guess I don't quite understand what you're trying to express...
Sorry, I must have expressed myself in a misleading way.
I wanted to start the copy process from my logged in computer and then log out.
The copy process should then continue.
Of course, the computer on which Openmediavault is running must be active.

Thanks for the clarification.
What tool do you make that copy with?
If it is with rsync it is not necessary to keep the session open, the work will continue in the background if you exit.
Ok, I can't deal with rsync.
So I installed the file manager, but when I tried to access the interface, it asked for a password. Unfortunately, I don't know which one it is, because the password I use to log in to Openmediavault is not it.
Can someone help me how to get the data from one hard drive to the next?
Or which password is requested for the file manager.

What is the problem with rsync?
Midnight Commander in a screen session via ssh login.
( see attachment ).
You have not attached any files.
Maybe a screenshot of the rsync job configuration would be helpful.
and please switch webGUI to English to facilitate reading when send screen captures
