Gig Ethernet remains on 100 Mbps Connect

  • Setup:

    • OMV Server = GIGABYTE H610I DDR4 /w Intel GbE Motherboard (Plugged into the Netgear Mesh Extender)
    • NETGEAR Dual-band WiFi 6 Mesh Extender, 1.8Gbps with (4) 1 Gig Ethernet Ports (OMV Server and Personal computer are plugged into one of these ports)
    • Personal Computer = Asus Prime Z390-A, motherboard /w Intel I219-V Gigabit LAN connected at 1 Gig at FULL DUPLEX to a port on the Netgear Dual Band Mesh Extender

    Problem:

    • OMV Server port speed indicator is orange (when it should be green) indicating its connected at 100 Mbps. Green is 1 Gig
    • The OMV Diagnostics below indicates its configured for 1 Gig full duplex
    • There is a discrepancy between the hardware and software speed and duplex setting that's being reported.

    Hep Request:

    • Help me understand what is going on. If not know, then
    • Help me manually configure the ethernet speed and full duplex in OMV 6.

Help me understand what is going on

Check your hardware. If a single element on the network is not gigabit the network speed drops.
