frequent short time network disconnections

Hello,

My raspberry pi 4 NAS is having often network disconnections. All services (SMB, SSH, etc..) are not reachable for a few minutes, it cannot be pinged, then everything works again.

This might happen more frequently at times when there is higher network traffic, for instance during a Time Machine backup or other file transfer via SMB. Also, it seems that the problem happens more often when the transfers are via wifi compared to ethernet.

I tried to look for an explanation in the log files but could not find much related information there.

Do you have any recommendation on how to investigate the issue, or any possible explanation?

Ok, I did not consider this, maybe you are right! But shouldn't there be just a performance drop? Why a complete disconnection from the network?

How can I verify this? By checking CPU loads?

The issue was caused by my internet modem/router and its DNS service, finally I got a new modem from my ISP and the issue is gone!

I write it here in case someone is facing similar problems.
