OrangePi 5 adding USB-M.2 enclosured nvme for backup

  • Hi All,

I have a Netac enclosure with A-Data M.2 nvme 2TB for backups. Here is lsusb report:

Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0dd8:9210 Netac Technology Co., Ltd WH51

But blkid shows nothing about it. Now, it did appear previously and just dissapeard later. I even managed to mount it and create a shared folder and add it to Compose backup... but... it is unstable.

Now, it's either a faulty new M.2 Netac WH51 NT07WH51-32C2 enclosure, or faulty new SSD ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 2TB ASX8200PNP-2TT-C.

It works consistently with my laptop. How do I check what's wrong?

    Nevermind:

    • Realtek RTL9210B: This chipset is known to cause problems with the Orange Pi 5, including random disconnects, slow transfer speeds, and data corruption.

    I'm ordering a compatible one.
