omv release upgrade 6->7 can't install pve kernel 6.5

  • Hello,

I have upgraded omv 6 to 7. It works so far fine. When I try to upgrade the pve kernel from version 6.2 to 6.5 using the webgui I get the error message below:

Any help to point me in the right direction is appreciated. :)

Changed the title of the thread from “omv release upgrade 6->7 can't install eve kernel 6.5” to “omv release upgrade 6->7 can't install pve kernel 6.5”.

Evidently your tn40xx module isn't building on the 6.5 kernel. You need to check to see if it supports the 6.5 kernel. The plugin can't fix this.

  • Thank you ryecoaaron. I need to install the driver again.

  • Solved:

I had to go back to the default Nic of my MB and unloaded the driver, than I cloud install the pve kernel 6.5. After that I swopped the Nic back to the previous one and reinstalled the driver. Works like charm.
