I recently moved my docker containers from my root drive to another drive. My backups are no smaller. I'm using fsarchiver in omv system/backup. My root drive is only using about 8GB according to multiple utilities, including du, but fsarchiver is creating a backup that's 60GB.
It has to be backing up stuff that's not on that drive, or perhaps deleted files? What can I do to make my backup size reflect the actual disk usage?
Backup much bigger than root filesystem

Some additional info:
I added --exclude=/srv to my fsarchiver settings, and the result is the backup you see that's only 3G. So clearly without that exclusion it's backing stuff up from another disk, because the only other folders under /srv are "pillar", "salt" and "ftp", all of which are tiny or empty. -
Strange. The path isn't even passed to fsarchiver in the code - just /dev/sdc1. So, I don't understand why fsarchiver is backing up files from other disks. That said, you don't need anything in /srv/ for the OS backup. So, i would leave the exclusion. If you run sudo omv-backup from the command line, you will be able to see what files it is including from other filesystems.

thank you! I'll just leave the exclusion in place and call it resolved.
