[HELP] PhotoPrism

  • Hi !

I launched myself on the project of running my NAS Server at home, and everything start to be great ! I have my file share on RAID, Nextcloud and so, but an issue remains : Photoprism.

    What do I want ?

I want to manage ALL the photos of my family (4 users) (Thus, with different users). On my TEST NAS, I installed PhotoPrism, which just worked nicely, but since I had to reinstall all the software (I do some shit on the config, probably...). And since, I upgraded on OMV7 (+ added RAID 5 Array, a case, and so). The hardware by itself is very standard (Intel x86-64 CPU, 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD for the OS...). There shall be no issues related to it.

I re-setup everything, installed the PhotoPrism plugin; and nothing work :

Remark : I want, in a medium term run, this plugin exposed to the outside (with my DNS name, and a proxy).

For now, I just want to make it working at home before complexing things...

When opening the web page associated, I got nothing (The web server take too many times to respond).

First, I thought about firewall, so I just added a rule for this specific port : Nothing.

Well, I just added a rule for all of my local devices on every protocol : Same...

(I deleted it since it may cause security issues).

Actually, PhotoPrism is set up like this, where md0 refer to my RAID Array.

I tried playing with the settings, adding or removing my SSL certificate and so...
    Nothing seems to work.

I also tried the command :

    podman pull docker.io/photoprism/photoprism:latest

    + omv-salt deploy run photoprism

    No errors are prompted :

Only one other command, found on other issues here, seem to get an error :

On other threads, I runned this, to acess to the logs of the Podman instance :

    logs.txt

Does anyone have an idea ?

    Thanks by advance !

PS : I'm sorry for the screenshot in French, this is my foreign language

Switch to the openmediavault-k8s Kubernetes plugin and install PhotoPrism from the recipes. I do not like the PhotoPrism standalone plugin based on Podman anymore because this type of plugin makes too much problems.

It was a nice try from my side with this type of plugins, but it came out that users have too much trouble with it. Systemd is a little bit picky in some cases when it comes to Podman and Podman based services. I see more future in the new Kubernetes plugin.

Did you have any tutorials ?

I tried within the plugin of kubernetes-k8s, then create from recipes the PhotoPrism-app.
I changed the fields that need to be UID <Name> and the path (I made it point to my Raid Array).

No errors are prompted, but exact same error

When I try to reach the service (https://192.168.1.89:8443/photoprism).

I updated the firewall as well with ports related to kubernetes

    Thanks by advance !
