Plex movies always buffering and skipping

  • On the Xbox Series X, if you download Kodi from the Microsoft store, there is no SAMBA option at all. I used NFS. Using "Add network location...", there is (at least by default): NFS, FTP(S) and HTTP(S) along with RSS.

Well, I do not know Microsoft products, not using them at all and avoiding them like a plague, but when you download Kodi from Kodi you should see in "Add network location" --> Protocol "Windows network (SMB). I use SMB location to mount OMV Samba/cifs shares on my Linux boxes and to use MariaDB for Kodi central database on OMV.

  • lemme ask ya something..and this was one reason i stopped kodi years back. you make a directory, do it wrong, cant delete, make a new one, now its MOVIES[2]. How on fng earth do you delete movies, the one you did wrong, so you dont have stupid [2]

  • you make a directory

You mean make a source? If so, on the Xbox, it's holding down the 'A' button and selecting "Remove Source". On the Shield Pro 2019 it is holding the large center button. On Amazon Firestick it is the hamburger menu button. When it asks to delete all assets for it, clicking yes is the safe option.

First what you do when you made an error in naming is to, in Kodi, go to Movies (as an example), scroll to that movie select (depending on streaming device you have) "Context" Menu (long hold on center button in Firestick, "C" on mini keyboard, center, round button on Nvidia Shield) --> Manage... --> Remove from Library. Step #2 Settings --> Media --> (scroll down) CLEAN LIBRARY.

Now that Kodi and it`s library is clean go to where your actual Movie file is located on your network and delete it or the whole directory. Now you can proceed and create new. Go back to Kodi and from Top Menu in Movies run UPDATE LIBRARY. Done.

  • Hey there

In all truth the day towards the end went by so fast I didn’t really sit there and watch a full movie to verify, but will soon. I just was excited to play Boulders Gate 3 so time flew by.

I’ll let you know and thank you all for the insight and help
