I'll be taking my USB backup drive with me to the United States next week. It's currently mounted as sbc and has shared folders via SAMBA. What's my procedure for unmounting it cleanly? Thank you!
Best procedure for unmounting USB-attached NTFS drive?

You can read how to do it here. https://wiki.omv-extras.org/do…erms#shared_folder_in_use

Thank you, chente. So basically, just reverse the steps used to set up the drive with a shared folder (or folders):
Delete any services associated with the share (in my case, only an rsync task), then delete the share.
At this point the drive can just be unplugged I guess.

You must unmount the file system in the GUI under Storage>File system

If you don't need OMV running during that time, you can also just shut down OMV and reboot after you reconnected the drive.

macom, sometimes the best solution is the easiest. I'll do as you suggested because the file server will not be needed while we are gone. Thank you!
