Hey folks!
First of all , I am a fresh (very fresh) user of OMV. I am learning and I hope much more here.
Secondly, I am experiencing some stranger behavior of ACL, not so urgent, but stranger.
I am setting up a Media/DOC server with OMV and i am using PLEX image. All working. But, I noticed that as soon as I drag a file into my shared folder (SMB) through windows explorer, the Recursive option, Inside ACL Settings into Storage Shared Folder , turns off.
At this point plex cannot update the media I dragged. But, if I turn it on, save and apply, plex update its media library.
Please, very sorry if I am telling something idiot, I really look for something that lights up a solution, but i couldn't.
Is it a bug or a condition , probably caused by a misconfiguration?
Many thanks since now.

Shared Folder ACL Recursion option has a bug?

If you don't have a reason to use ACL permissions you shouldn't use them. Most people don't need them and if you don't know how to use them properly you will have problems. Read this before using ACLs!
You can use the resetperms plugin to remove ACL permissions and return folder permissions to an optimal state. https://wiki.omv-extras.org/do…7:omv7_plugins:resetperms
I suggest configuring docker containers as explained here to avoid permissions issues. https://wiki.omv-extras.org/doku.php?id=omv7:docker_in_omv

At this point plex cannot update the media I dragged. But, if I turn it on, save and apply, plex update its media library.
The problem is that the file you dropped does not get the correct permissions to allow Plex to read it.
This is because there are several users involved, SMB and Plex are running as different users.
You need to ensure that the files written by SMB have the necessary rights to allow Plex to read it.
You may try to fix that by adding the Plex user to the group „users“.

Hey! I knew that the answer would come!
So, as new user, of course, my mistake. After read all suggestions made by chente, and figuring out about permissions as votdev said, i notice that @ plex had no permission to read/write on plex folder /config. That was sutil. Many thanks guys, you tought me how to think about OMV hierarchy.
But the question still present. Since the moment i checked the box for Recursive ( fig.) inside Storage > Shared Folder, It is supposed to remain checked, isn't it???? -

This checkbox applies only to the current action when pressing the Save button, not permanently.

It sounds like you're still using ACL permissions despite the suggestions. This document could help you understand how permissions work in Linux and OMV. https://wiki.omv-extras.org/do…omv7:nas_permissions_omv7

No, I'm not. Not anymore, thanks to your advice. My question is for knowledge only. I drop the ACL idea. Thank you so much!
