Hi,
my HDD doesn't switch to sleep mode when not have to read/write.
I have already made respective settings at Storage >> Disks >> Edit Disk:
- Advanced Power Management: 1 - Minimum power usage with standby (spindown)
- Advanced Acoustic Management: Minimum performance, minimjm acoustic output
- Spindown time: 10 minutes
- Enable write-cache: off
But that leads not to the desired result.
I also
- disabled all containers
- disabled all omv monitoring processes
The HDD doesn't make some write/read noises, I can only hear the spin of the disk or the cooling fan.
What do you think about to set the sleep time manually with sudo hdparm -S <Values> /dev/sdX?
Have you else ideas how I can force my HDD to sleep after 10 minutes inactivity?
A lot of thanks and Greets
