I have two installations on two different devices (raspberry) at version 7 but only one of the two does regular updates while the other does not do any.
What could it depend on?

Hi,
did you check the network connection?
I had problems with connection to the internet and therefor no automatic updates. Does it update when you trigger the manual updates on OMV GUI?

Is the DNS configured to allow name resolution when asking for updates in the Debian repositories?

As already mentioned, you're DNS is not configured properly. If you are using a static IP configuration of your interface, this is the most common reason because 99% of the users forget to configure the DNS servers. With DHCP, you do not have the problem because DNS is automatically configured then.

Yes, I assigned a static IP to the device.
But I don't understand where I should configure the DNS.
