Rpi4 still on 6.1.21 after upgrade from OMV 6 to 7

  • Hi all

    I've successfully upgraded from OMV 6 to OMV 7 (7.4.7-1) but the kernel is still version 6.1.21.

    Is there any additional step that I need to perform to get the latest kernels version for 64 bit PI OS (the current one is version 6.6) ?

    Thanks :)

    Run the fix6to7upgrade script.

    omv 7.4.9-2 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.14 | compose 7.2.12 | k8s 7.3.1-1 | cputemp 7.0.2 | mergerfs 7.0.5 | scripts 7.0.9

  • Run the fix6to7upgrade script.

    I did run the following command wget -O - https://github.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/installScript/raw/master/fix6to7upgrade | sudo bash then  apt update && apt upgrade && omv-upgrade  but still can't see any kernel updates.

    Can you please let me know if I missed any steps (there are some apt related plugins that I did not install, I not sure if I should have them or not ...) ?

    thanks

    I was hoping you would post the output of the fix script.

    Please cut&paste the output in the future. Images can be difficult to view.

    You want to install the kernel meta package - sudo apt-get install linux-image-rpi-v8

    Sorry for late reply and thanks for your help. I've installed the mentioned package but unfortunately I still can't see any update for the kernel.

    I noticed some info about the latest kernel(6.6) with subsequent sudo apt update & sudo apt upgrade , not sure if this gives a clue what could be wrong.

    I killed my 5 year old SD card trying to update the kernel. So, I don't have a system to test the upgrade on now.
