Resize RAID

  • before i go down this route i want to ask the omv and linux gurus around here

after swapping every HDD (and recovering after every swap) of my 4 HDD RAID5 with larger disks, is this approach supported with openmediavault 7?

mdadm --grow /dev/md0 -z max - to resize the array to the maximum supported by the underlying partitions / physical disk.

want to be sure to not run into issues.....

OMV 7 still uses mdadm when you install the openmediavault-md plugin. So, yes it should work.
