openmediavault-hosts 7.0-3 does nothing

  • Hi!

I installed "openmediavault-hosts 7.0-3" plugin (from Voker Theile) on my OMV installation, but adding there hosts in the traditional format, has no effect on /etc/hosts file.

    I tried both formats:

    ADVANCED:

    192.168.0.1 router.lan router

    SIMPLE:

    192.168.0.1 router.lan

ATM, it's working editing directly a file in:

    Bash
    sudo nano /srv/salt/omv/deploy/hosts/20extras.sls

    Any help about this issue?

  • Thanks, votdev for your fast answer. I tried those steps several times, but no exist at all.

Lately, I removed the hosts plugin, reboot the machine and installed the plugin again, now it works as expected. I still don't know what the hell could happened with that configuration.

Thanks again, just the point to know the plugin is working made me work harder on it.
