mergerfs: How do I add a new drive to an existing mergerfs pool?

  • I installed another drive to my OMV-NAS which is formatted and mounted.

What exactly is the correct way to add this new drive to my existing mergerfs pool?

    edit the existing pool

add the new drive like you added the previous drives

    save and apply

try to restart the pool but it is likely in use. So, reboot

And how would I remove a drive from the mergerfs-pool?

You are making this harder than it really is. To remove a drive, you remove the line for the drive in Paths.
