Openmediavault-onedrive: Shown as "not running" in Dashboard "Services

  • Hi everyone!

I've recently observed that the "OneDrive" service is shown as "red" or "not running" in my Dashboard. I know for a fact that the service is running and updating OneDrive, just like I set up, but it still shows as not running.

I've tried disabling and reenabling the service via the UI, but that did not help. I have not tried reinstalling yet, because it is working as is and I didn't want to disrupt the operation for the moment.

    I'm on the latest openmediavault-onedrive 7.1.3-1

Also just update OMV to 7.4.14-1 (Sandworm)

    How are these services queried?

  • I have faced with the similar issue a few days ago. In my case, sqlight database was corrupted because two ondrive processes tried to work simultaneously.

I removed the onedrive plug-in and the corrupted db file. After that, the onedrive systemd unit still was active. So, I disabled the unit and reinstall the plug-in. And it helped me.

I suspect, that one of the latest updates of the plug-in was broken and it lead to such issue.

  • Ok, I just reinstalled the plugin and indeed it now works again. In my case, after uninstalling the plug-in systemctl noticed that the unit-file changed. After running `systemctl daemon-reload` onedrive was no longer listed in systemctl. Once I reinstalled the plugin it is now again operational and shows as "running" in the dashboard.

I did not remove any db because I was not sure which one you meant.

Indeed it seems like it was trying to run the same config twice; i.e. once as `root` and once as `onedrive`. If I query `systemctl status onedrive` now, I get status "inactive"; if I query `systemctl status onedrive@onedrive` I get the following:

To be safe, I now also "disabled" the root onedrive via `systemctl disable onedrive` as root.

For other users facing the problem, did you mean this file? `/var/cache/onedrive/items.sqlite3`

Thx for the hints, the package owned onedrive systemd unit file has been removed with https://github.com/openmediava…e723c23a3c1f14a7a45489bff.
