Disappearing FS/mounts

Hello

It's the continuation of my thread here Adding new SSD

I added a new disk and everything looks normal.

Started rsyncing files for like 6 h or so.

After that, I found my mounts gone (!!)

Rebooted, all looked again, and tried rsync again, the same problem after 2-3 h

This time it took several reboots to see disks mounted again

I am puzzled and don't know what to make of it.

Please suggest how to troubleshoot and maybe fix this.

I am thinking of removing my SMB share and removing a new disk altogether

The problem is amplified by the fact that I don't have access to my OMV server and only have remote access.

BTW I used "rsync -avzh..."

Can it mess up my disks like that?

I tried "cp" and it also broke mounts !

Just read in your linked post that the drives are USB connected. In that case it could be also a problem with the USB-to-sata controller.

Possibly

I ran out of ideas and removing the disk
Will consider get ing a new Pi for it
