Upgrade packages and server now inaccessible

Hello,

Did a package upgrade and though the update seemed to go fine with no errors, I then lost access to the web gui and now my Raspberry PI isn't acessible at all, not even through ssh. In fact, the device isn't showing on my router page any more at all. I'd appreciate any tips to regain access but otherwise I fear there may be some kind of big corruption to the Pi now and so I suspect the suggestions may now be that I need to flash the Pi and restore from a backup. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help. I have plugged in the keyboard and screen and run the command but I am getting a 'Login incorrect'. I am using the admin password I've set as well as 'openmediavault' (which I understand is the default?) but with no luck. What would the password be here if not the admin password I set?

Thanks. Not sure I understand. So I boot up the pi, screen plugged in. Lots of lines flash by and it has the openmediavault version info and 'My IP address is' etc. and then '[SERVERNAME] login: ' and a flashing cursor. It seems whatever command I type here prompts a password and the admin password I'd set doesn't work. It'd be the same as whatever root I'd set years ago. Am I doing the wrong command syntax for logging in?

Hey thanks guys for the advice. When I finally put the correct user name (not admin) as advised I was the able to run the first aid command and reset the network interface. Fixed now! Thanks again! 😀
