I made an OMV LIVE CD, but it was just a "live disk with the software as is" of the OMV system. There is no point in having a live disk that sets up everything if the content is not minimally set up as well. (where all the hardware was automatically abstracted by the live disk as an example of automation in that concept, while the OMV is not on the live disk)
My questions and clarifications i made thisw forum entry to not overflood the githu issue! most notes will be put here and at github only important ones
1 - Password management by command line
This question was made by me previously, is not for the made of live disk but is usefully, RE: password command line reset way
The reason is that i want to made a plugin to integrate telegram notifications. also automate the password in the live disk
2. Support for exquisite file systems not included in OMV
This was already made in part by OMV developer when it add Reiser4 and Reiserfs support (at least for already formatted partitions), but my plans now will be to use other that are not part of a vanilla or debian kernel. why? it was already explained in part at: Support for extra filesystem already present in kernel but not in the core
3. Live cd from OMV its so basic
This one is self explanatory! as i noted, the omv if configured in live mode (before finish the build) will not work as well when live disk boot, that's why i want to made my live disk!
CLARIFICATIONS
- First of all, I won't answer anything about how I did it a live disk because the documentation is there and it wasn't that hard for real Linux users and not Windows users...
- Secondly: I'm targeting old versions of OMV not new ones, I'm using the new ones to questions so that my questions are answered within the rules.
- Last: i want to promote the other filesystems and not the btrfs neither compresion/encription as we demostrated only degrade and shorten the life of the flash/ssd disks
- NAS services are SLOW, a storage device can do 60Gbps (Nvme) and any home made NAS with more expensive hardware never raised such speed cos network limitations!

QuoteBut why should you do that during the installation? from github issue developer about automate default values for OMV
OMV debian disk is too basic and poor featured, its just the same as debian install but more limited (we cannot customize it)
QuoteFrom RE: Lack of support for Hardware raid virtual disk Working around barriers, that are created by individual 3rd party hardware devices, is not something that the OMV project can dedicate time to
We know there is OMV-extras plugins, but those still are too basic for exquisite flavours.. by example currently many companies now drops many dell servers like T110 (i bought two) but OMV does not support the excelent hardware raid inside!!! so i need to prepare a OMV media that at least prepare support for iclusivelly if there is not the software installed but enought for

RE: What can a user do, not an admin user.. hot to manage normal users and permission everight must be done by admin and means admin must know what should do..
that is so interesting cos most of users here (almost 99%) are only windosers with SMB activated that are not linux real users.. so when i need other resources i found that OMV already provide me .but there is no so much information also the people that have the knowledge here only questioning me..
